I’m finding my place at Triple J Farm. This is my third visit to my wife’s family 500 acre farm in rural Tennessee. I don’t fancy myself the outdoorsy type so it has been a tad hard to fit in and feel at home. They are all wonderful and very sweet…but it is hard for me to appreciate this place as they do. It has been in their family for over 50 years so I couldn’t possibly even try on their level. However, on this trip I brought a Polaroid 600 camera and impossible project color shade film. I always retreat to my work when I cannot find my grounding. I am shooting landscapes trying to find the beauty…to see what they see. Trying to develop an appreciation. Create my own memories. I have shot some really beautiful images and through the work I am fining my place. Today I feel grounded.
